A Message From Mr. President

Haha! Yesterday I received a short text message on my phone from Mr. President (real one!). It was about a warning to all citizen about drugs abuse and stuff like that. It's kinda funny since I'm in a huge crush on a song from Weezer called We Are All On Drugs. What a funny coincidence, Mr. President must've been listening to the same stuff :). I'll post you all the lyrics, here it is :

We Are All On Drugs
by : Weezer
When you're out with your friends
In your new Mercedes-Benz
And you're on drugs
And you show up late for school
'Cause you think you're really cool
When you're on drugs
And you put on your headphones
And you step into the zone
When you're on drugs
But the world don't care
If you are not there
'Cause you're on drugs
GIVE IT TO ME
We are all on drugs yeah
Never getting enough (never get enough)
We are all on drugs yeah
Give me some of that stuff (WOO)
And you twitch in your seat
'Cause you wanna hit the street
When you're on drugs
And you cause such a fuss
'Cause there's no one you can trust
When you're on drugs
And the best of your days
Will vanish into haze
When you're on drugs
And you wish you can quit
'Cause you're really sick of it
But you're on drugs
GIVE IT TO ME
We are all on drugs yeah
Never getting enough (never get enough)
We are all on drugs yeah
Give me some of that stuff (WOO)
I wanna confiscate your drugs
I don't think I can get enough
We are all on drugs yeah
Never getting enough (never get enough)
We are all on drugs yeah
Give me some of that stuff (WOO)

Happy Anniversary to My Parents

Dear Mom and Dad,

It's been 29 years of your lovely marriage. Both of you are the best parents in the world that a kid could have. On behalf of your children, I want to wish you a happy anniversary.

" May each and every year you share,
Each happy memory, each whispered prayer,
Each memory as husband & wife,
Comes now with not so much strife,
In sickness & in health you pledged your heart so true,
God has blessed each tomorrow where love begins anew,
With vows taken reverently & sealed with Heaven’s kiss,
We hope you continue your wedded years in bliss.
Happy Anniversary To Both Of You! "

PS : Sorry for the late greeting :)

Proposed e-Tender System Global Architecture

Ok, today my team has concluded to develop the e-Tender system on a CMS called synkron.web. I've proposed to extend the synkron API to be an XML Web Service. Why XML Web Service? I'm talking about the benefit of scalability and reusability that can be used by the next versions of e-Tender or other e-Applications. Below is the draft diagram of e-Tender System Architecture. Any comments?

Eureka! I can finally read a novel on my handphone :)

Guys, if you are using a Sony Ericsson K-500i or 700i, and you are eager to have your phone to be able to read an e-novel or a long text, you can do fo these following steps :
  1. Make sure the GPRS connection is set.
  2. Activate the e-mail client on your handphone, make sure it works!
  3. From your PC, open an e-novel (usually formatted in .PDF, .TXT, .RTF, or .DOC). Copy the whole content and paste it in an e-mail mesage that will be sent to the address that is also used by your handphone's e-mail client.
  4. Download the e-mail from your handphone, and wait for a moment (it depends on the size of your e-novel)
  5. Voila! The novel is readable to your handphone as an e-mail message.
  6. Have fun, coz I do :)

New Day, New Month, New Look, New Task

Phewww... last week was a big pain in the neck, I gotta have a new motivation and spirit to handle new tiring routines, after all, the real meaning of life hasn't been completely understood and found :) . That's why today I decide to change the look of this blog to be more cheerful and colorful (nevermind the weird dots!). Enough of the BS, let's get back to the business. I have this E-Tender project going on and need to make sure that it can work with a content management system called Synkron.web. Bad thing about this CMS is that it still works in the old time ASP. So, the issue will be about the scalability, system upgrade, and API compatibility (which will lead me to a big question about performance and response time....hmmmm). Yeah, been heard about the "side by side" execution stuff but I really do believe that the project should be 100% developed in .NET (give me a big credit for promoting MS stuff here. Bill Gates, you owe me one, big time! hahaha). So, below, is a new task for me. Check out the darn diagram that shows the complexity of using Synkron API.

Design Pattern Automation Toolkit

A screenshot of Design Pattern Automation Toolkit. A Must Have!

E-Tender and Kewl Design Pattern Tool

Today is the official day to start building the architecture of E-Tender Application. This application will be ASP.NET based and intended to be operational in governmental agencies. I will collaborate with some architects, developers, and Tax Office staff in order to create the first release of this application. It's gonna be a looooonnnggg task :) . Yeah...story of my life with boring routines.
BTW, if you are a freak software architect like me, and obsessed by a theory called "GoF's Pattern Design", please do check this super kewl url : http://dpatoolkit.sourceforge.net/ . This bad boy will direct you to download a Design Pattern Automation Toolkit. How about that? Another tool to make your "architecting life" easier.
