Save The Classic VB, NOW!
I still remember learning BASIC for the first time at the age of 13. It was a huge fun to have control over my XT computer. Finally, I was able to create my own arcade game and a small book inventory application on that old PC (It was doing nothing more than playing Digger and managing Wordstar or Lotus 123 documents). Then my dad bought a new AT computer, it was a 80386 with VGA card and a 2 MB hard disk. The new OS, MS Windows 3.1, amazed me since it's very graphical and user friendly. Eventually I got myself introduced with the first generation of Visual Basic. It helped me a lot in developing applications in a rich GUI environment. I kept on using later versions of VB, from 3 to 6, even .NET, and started making "real money". I was then and am now still using VB, it's my first language, my native language (even though I've converted to C#) ! I just can't leave all the contributions and memories behind, especially the ones with VB 6. I've spent too many lonely nights, many "YEAH I DID IT", curses, frustations, and deadline syndroms, with it :)
Right now, I just can't clearly remember when the last time I worked with VB 6? I miss the good old time. If you too, are a VB developer or used to be one, please click the link below and support our dear good old friend. Keep 'em alive!

The Little One In Utero
How does it feel little one?
To have your first heartbeat..
Is it dark in there? Are you cold?
Please worry not for your mother's love
will warm your little place
Be brave, be strong
for the real world that you will face
For this moment now,
just close your eyes and feel the peace
I will not show you how to conquer the world
but I will teach you to defeat yourself
We will help each other grow
but I will teach you to defeat yourself
We will help each other grow
for the world is not always what it seems
Be patient now little one,
as your journeys just begun
Not very long from now
you will feel my arms reaching you
you will feel my arms reaching you
To My Loved One, Happy Birthday
I'm not sure you want me
to give you a poem like this
for your birthday --
a poem which says I need
to bury myself in the center of your heart
and swim there like a mermaid.
I pretend to do ordinary things like
I pretend to do ordinary things like
birthday cards
but all the cells in my body are
throwing a tantrum because
you're not here with me
and my skin shouts angrily to the angels
because your hands are not touching me
I try to fold my love
I try to fold my love
in half to go in an envelope
like an ordinary 'love from'
but I may as well fold the sky
which for me
is held aloft only by your kisses.
Happy Birthday
I shout your name from the distance
in this lonely apartment of life ...
I wish you were here ...

My m-Government Article on e-Indonesia Magazine
Well, today I find my article published in a magazine called e-Indonesia. The article is a brief explanation on what m-Government (mobile Government ) is. Me and 2 other guys will host a column, e-Interactive, on that magazine. We will answer all kind of "IT-related" questions from the readers, and the magazine will publish them monthly. You can call it a printed version of our FAQ :))
The e-mail address that can be used to reach us is RIT@eindonesia.com . So, send us any kind of questions (easy ones, please haha!) , hopefully your name will appear on the magazine and that sounds kewl enough, right?
