Sad Day, Bye Bye K500i

Well, this post is a tribute to my Sony Ericsson K500i that has been lost last week :(
Bye bye camerad, your little camera has been capturing many kickass events that happened to my life for the last 2.5 years. My wife will be very sad since she was the one who bought you for me. You have accompanied my journey, a long one, from Bandung, Jakarta, Amsterdam, and Copenhagen, and you were always there. You also took pictures of my newly born baby that day, in a very low lighting you were able to present the most precious images in my life. It is the memory of your function that strikes my defense, hell, I've never been so sentimental about something...but now.... Bye bye Bud, may the new owner treat you well and better. HIKS ....

The Era of AJAX

Guys, it's time to start learning and implementing AJAX on your web apps. AJAX stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. It's a future way of web programming that facilitates the need of browser-server communication without having to reload a webpage everytime the data is being exchanged. And yes, the process will be in XML format.
If you are a MS .NET dude, please do click this link

For you historians out there, find out where it all began in this link http://www.adaptivepath.com/publications/essays/archives/000385.php
Again, if you need more formal explanation you can just get intimate with Wikipedia Almighty :)) in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AJAX.

My Public Service Broker Article on e-Indonesia

Another article published on January edition of e-Indonesia magazine. Thanks to Mr. Andy Zoeltom for the publication, hopefully it will be useful for e-government implementation based on Services Oriented Architecture.

System Development Cycle (ala Citrathirza Astarijaya) ... Nobody harmed during the photoshots

1. Analysis

The Software Architect will gather requirements from our client.

"Gimme your fixed requirements and shut the hell up!"

2. Design

Our DBA will create a Database Diagram, manage User permissions, and ask all team member to obey his rules.

"Nobody screws with my tablespaces and relationships, and NO scott tiger account for developers!"

3. Development and Testing

Software Architect will monitor the code implementation and encourage the developers to meet the deadline earlier... this will give the term "able to work under pressure" a bad name.

"Fix the goddamn functions, follow my Use Cases, or I'll do a REFACTORING on your sorry ass!"

4. System Acceptance

The client is satisfied with our overall system, our Software Architect will take a credit and have bigger bonus this year. So, everybody is happy.

"Yeah, I like it when that software works...do I look prettier? Nope, I don't fancy YMCA..."

5. Brainware Malfunction

Since the Software Architect is the only one who gets the credit for the team work, a developer goes nuts and takes him as hostage. The developer will not ask for a ransom, but his bonus raise.

"If we don't get more bonuses, I'll do my personal jihad on this so called Architect..from now on, I WILL ONLY CODE FOR BONUS!"
